I am working for is a Drum n Bass Male vocalist, Tempa T. Tempa T has worked with a few Drum n Bass artists such as Chase and Status, Daniel Hills and Ashburner. He is a Grime artist so he not Internationally famous this is one of the reasons i have chosen Hypest hype Tempa T Next hype. I have chosen to do a conradictive music video, because Tempa T is a more violent artist his lycris mainly have something to do with some sort of violence. The music video is going to have a range of visuals and many different graphics. These visuals will emphasise the lyrics of the song to some extent , for example when he says “If guys step on my creps, Im bottling man I’m on a next hype”, I’ll see a man drinking alcohol walking past the artist and stepping on his shoe, and he grabs a bottle which is a ballon bottle and hits him over the head and the victim will act like he’s actually been bottles and the camera will then be his point of view so the it looks at Tempa T and then falls over. As he is letting go of the bottle he’ll turn around and be on a stage with a load of fans and sings the Chorus, i will also use images and visuals to represent the different sounds introduced to the song such as the bass and drums, Such as having people Jumping or dancing to the beat.
The target audience would be those who are interested in listening to Drum and Bass, young people who enjoy clubbing and partying atmosphere, the age group should therefore be from 16-25 year olds. As the artist of The song is a male and the music was created by a male, I can target the video towards either gender but mainly the male audience. To appeal to our target audience i’ll use visuals such as alcohol, women, clubbing and gig scenes and bright lights. This follows the young culture that people of 16-25years old have, as they drink, they love clubbing, parties and gigs.
As our video is contradictive, our mise-en-scene will vary but will follow our main concept of clubs, raves and gigs. It will include various images that go with the beat, such as the start where the music is building up we will have an image of people travelling to the gig. This will be a point of view shot of the driver driving through city life at night, later on this will be speeded up as the song builds up to the lyrics. I’ll then have various images of people dancing in a club, and the club lifestyle, editing will include fast paced cuts, cutting to the beat which gives a dramatic effect.
I’ll be using various types of technology for our production. The camera I’ll be using is Panasonic GS 230, I’ll be using this camera because it allows us to adjust the exposure depending on the light conditions, as we are going to be filming mainly at night and there will be a lot of lights around, adjusting the exposure will allow us to achieve the best picture quality as possible. Editing will be one of the most important part of creating our music video, for this I’ll use an iMac, this is because I have experience in using final cut, you can use different effects, transitions and it is easy and effective. I will use many different aspects of technology to make our music video more interesting. I’ll film footage and rewind it to give the added effect that things are going back in time, also I’ll forward clips to give the impression that I’m going forward into time or time is moving quickly, such as a time lapse of watching the sun set over a city skyline. I’ll also use final cut pro to edit and add graphics and visuals to our music video, this is how I intend to have different visuals.
My music video will be shot in many different locations such as London City, on rural areas and in a clubbing environment. However I may need to gain permission in order to film in such places. I also plan to film during the evening, so I get a real sense of nightlife. As Im are planning on filming in the evening, I need to make sure that the lighting is just right so I can see everything that is happening in the shot.
