So far other artists to inspire him are High contrast, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Chase and Status and Breakage. He’s 17 years old; he’s from Antigua a small island from the Caribbean. He’s come to the UK for education and came across ways to make music and is now trying to become a great Dj and he has made a couple of his own tracks but he hasn’t got any big labels, he has few songs with big drum and bass and dubstep artists and is hopefully going to be a success.
Today on the show we are discussing the basics in making drum and bass and dubstep, we will also be talking about the young dj’s success. We will also have some track from the inspiring artists and some of the songs they have featured in with him. This show is to also allow the viewers to tell the difference between Dubstep and Drum and Bass.
Welcome to the Show. Today we are going to start off with the basics in making drum and bass and dubstep. We’ll start off with how to make Dubstep. Originally dubstep started off really calm and them came to a Drop. A Drop is when the beat/ bass starts and the drop add effect to the song which kind of differentiates the difference between dubstep and drum and bass. To be a great dj you need to live the music you play you need to understand what your fans want to hear and what you feel comfortable playing. For some artist they find it easier to play something original like their own sound or beat and unique sound that people can tell the difference from other artists. Here are some samples of unique sounds.
